  • I love going out with the camera takes my mind off things for a while me and my dad go out with the cameras together x

  • I've heard from lots of people that they believe robins represent lost loved ones. In the two weeks prior to my dad dying I saw lots  of robins, but not since oddly enough.  The last family outing that we went on my dad was sitting on a bench and a robin came and perched on the armrest only around a foot from my dad. x

  • Hello Poppy, have just found your thread via Mod Helen's 'Finding Solace' thread, and am so pleased I have.  (Thanks Helen!)  Your photos of robins are so good, thanks for sharing.  As it happens I saw my little local robin in my garden just this afternoon, and the sight always lifts me.  I never knew about the idea of them being a loved one, so that makes me even happier!

Do please keep posting, and take care.

    Hazel xx

  • Hi Poppy

Being able to share your love of photography with your Dad  must be very therapeutic.  Both my son and I enjoy this hobby (he is far more experienced than me and used a legacy from his Dad to upgrade his camera which makes it feel very special at times). I have a pair of robins in the garden and love to watch them as I relax in the chair which faces into the garden.  Have a peaceful weekend.  Jules
