Coping with the loss of a parent

My Dad had the same. He went into hospital and was told it was maybe kidney stones and would be given antibiotics. 13 days later he was gone. We had no time to say things ,hug or plan anything.  After he passed I went to the outpatients appointment that had been booked for him that we were meant to go together . I found out then that it was pancreatic cancer.
I went through the motions at Christmas too for my Moms sake.  I still feel like I'm dreaming and am going to wake up.  The shock is absolutely devastating.

im so sorry for your loss losing a loved one does not get easier with age. Love for a parent is timeless. As I write this post tonight my Dad is in the final stages of his life he has fought lymphoma for 10 years but now it has caught up with him. I am heartbroken I loved him so much. He was my hero after adopting me and being so kind and caring all of my life. I don't know how I will carry on.
