My sister undergoing tests ..

I only found out that my sister has lymph node cancer whilst attending my younger brothers funeral... I hadn't any idea she was ill, but she is being positive re her tests etc... I don't know what to say or do as she lives some way from me. My eldest bro had cancer partly due to stopping his medicine for diabetes and a heart problem (he was old school and not one to discuss difficulties in his personal life). I was with both brothers  at the end. I feel numb as I've now lost all four bro's & can't bear the thought of losing one of my sisters too!

    Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm so sorry to read about everything you've been through - this sounds like an awful lot to deal with and I can certainly understand how you feel.

    Hopefully now you know, you will be able to find out more from your sister and hopefully support her in any way that is necessary or appropriate.

    Make sure you look after yourself too, and if you need to talk to others about this then please do so.

    I hope you also find this forum useful and a safe space to write down any thoughts or worries about this, and to speak to others who understand.

    Hi so so sorry goodness you all going through the mill i suppose best thing if its its difficult to get to see her all you can do is call her as much as you can .i wish i could say some words to help but i cant i realy feel for you all as we all are brought together to support one another with this rotton awfull disease .diabetese another scurge it seems now so many seem to be getting it my partner had it diabetese and cancer of caurse it took her . You might try some counciling it can realy help as when we loose a loved one we all have questions and they can help with them but i do think we will see them again .paul

    I had CBT back in 2016 prior to the loss of two of my four bro's. I should speak to Dr but it's a pain waiting for call backs from surgery. I do appreciate your kind words.

    We all have difficult times I know, and I do believe we will all meet again.
