My boyfriend is going to die

After a year and 4 months battling with cancer, my boyfriend is going to die. The cancer has spread everywhere now and he’s been given a few weeks to live. He’s only 32. We were only together for 6 months before he was diagnosed. How do I cope with grief?

Are there any support groups for people my age?

  • Hello,

I just wanted to reply as I am 3 years older than you and will soon lose my Mum. It's heart breaking isn't it.

  • Hi i can relate to your situation slightly . Theres usualy a local hospice near you dont let the word hospice get to you .if you ring ask to spk to the head councilor and explain they will probably give you advice .sometimes we greive before we lose a loved one i can tell you the grief is nothing like loosing a parant very diffrent you must love him a lot wouldnt cope . You can ring the samaritans at any time when its getting to you i had to stay positive as didnt want liz to see me faultering so when it got to me i would say ime just popping to the shop sweetie the  give them a call that few mins talking to someone grounded me again it gets to the strongest of us so theres no shame in asking for a bit of help lots dont then months years after they wonder why there still suffering .i hope your getting some support from friends and family as soon as you can contact hospice they have teams that come out and asess if your partner needs anything to help him . My liz went so quick i never got the chance so dont procrastinat if you have a home together theres a legal side to it to i know it sounds mercenary but some have been made homeless or lost possessions when a loved one passes you have to make sure your ok .ime sorry your going through this and your partner so young its so unfair but this rotton evil disease dosnt care  .paul
