Hi mojo yes its linked to asbestos exposure it was used in everything at one time even artex . Probably cantracted it from working dusty enviroments thing is no one knew or they didnt say there was very little health and safety then . You and your mum must be realy suffering i know its i pain you cant discribe i cant offer more othere than ime so sorry but you not alone on here just take one day at a time stick close to family and friends walks in the park does help a bit and some counciling when your ready as talking realy helps .best wishs and my sympathies to you and your family if you dont live at home give your mum a quick call morning and last thing at night as thats the worst time will help you to .paul
