Struggling with my grief, but need to support my sister x

Hey.

I lost my dear Dad last Oct after just 8 weeks to terminal cancer. I am struggling SO hard  to keep going, but i am so drained & tired as I suffer health problems including fibromyalgia.

Now we have found out my brother in laws chemo has not worked so he is having  2 MASSIVE blasts of chemo , starting tomorrow, so I am trying SO hard to support my sister too.

I have had something bad happen every year from 2016 and am so scared of what this year will bring.

I feel alone & so isolated as I have no car thanks to pip dropping my pip from higher rate to lower, even tho i am a LOT worse now than ever.

Any support or just an understanding chat would be extremely grateful.

Love

Josie xx

  • Hi josie so sorry about your poor dad i lost my partner 13 months ago .grief is absolutly ehausting it takes everything if your struggling maybe a trip to c your gp see if theres anything they can do they usualy have something up there sleeves short term how are you sleeping i know fibromyalgia is extremly painful so maybe your not getting enough sleep .yes this rotton government should be in jail for what they have done to the sick and disabled i i beleive pips done by those bounders Atos . It seems so simple are you getting out for walks in the park and things we are built to be out it does charge you up .the one thing that they seldom mention at cancer hospital is to drink lots of fuids something so simple could make your brother in law feel much better and excercise cancer ime told makes your blood stickier that came from the oncologist have you thought of joining a bereavment group to be with like people can help this disease seems to be effecting everyone of late we are bombarded by it everyday .do you have a good friend you can lean on a bit real friends dont mind you didnt say anything about your mum is she still with you .you will get through it your stronger than you think we seem to be able to cope with anything we are magic realy .i think we go somewhere else  when we die ive had all sorts of strang things happen noth major but unexplainable maybe you have . What have you been doing to keep yourself going ?? You are the most important person in your life .you certainly had it thrown at you bless you .

  • Hi daddykins welcome to the forum, sorry your family is having so many problems, including you i do understand how things can go from bad to much worse, I've been looking after my disabled wife for over ten years now every thing nice and organised, then i got C(still don't like the word) having cemo not very nice but we managed, this year wife's got a lot worse, can't even walk without help it's a 24/7 job now, I've still got C permanent treatment but we manage (just) main thing is look after yourself if you get really bad what happens, any way good luck hope things work out soon for you.
