How terrible a day for you; I am so sorry. There is another lady who has lost her husband of many years today, SusanRuth; I only mention this here as she will understand if you want to look her up and talk to her. In any event I hope you have help and support from family and friends in this worst of all days in your life. I am sure you have loved and cared for your husband during his battle with cancer only for it to come to this. I know there is nothing I or anyone else here can help you at this time but please do come back here and tell us how you are coping day by day if this will help you at all. Why does it take the brightest and the best? Annie
It's an awful disease after me taking James to the doctors for years only to be told he was diabetic and still going and to be given gaviscon and other waste of time diagnosis only year afterwards to unable to control pain even with morphine and ketamine so unfair was the kindest man ever and thought of everyone except himself
I’m so terribly sorry for your loss :( x x
As above...unfortunately there are a fair few people who have experienced the same loss as you on this site xx I really hope you can link up with them so you can get through this together xx
I am so sorry xx
I am sorry to hear this news. It really is the most awful feeling in the world even when you know it’s coming. I lost my partner 3 weeks ago and in just take it a day at a time. I initially had lots of family and friends around me which was a huge help. You need to do what you feel you need to do if you need to cry ,scream do it . I have cried in the street to almost strangers while walking the dog (it’s surprising how many are actually affected in this world and how many have been in our shoes ) people will support you .
Nothing anyone says can make things better , but sometimes just knowing your not alone and that other people have been where you are now and have got through it can help .
