Memory loss after losing hubby

I will try to keep this brief, I know we aĺl say, i went up the stairs and forgot what for, however miy memory loss is more severe, whe my hubby was in the hospice , the nurses would be in and out all the time, I would say to the nurse in the evening , haven't see you for ages , been on days off and she would say, you seen me this morning!!! I went out with my sister one day to rspca, i thought i would get a dog to fill the gap of my husband , that was a bad decision, glad that didnt come off, anyway I called her and said, I went to rspca the other day, she said I know I was with YOU!!!! I am putting this memory loss down to the stress and trauma of the last 3 half hrs coming to an end, I will quickly go through it. Hubby had cancer 4 times in 3 half yrs , chemo, radiotherapy , operations you name it he had it, always 50/50 chance of survuval , diagnosed 10 Jan terminal with 4th cancer. I found him unconscious on 1 March had to give him CPR, thank God the ambulance came quickly, was in ICU for 2 weeks, triachotomy AGAIN, came out for few days then went to a hospice for pain relief , Drs said he will only last the weekend, we kept getting told he had few hrs to live, got the family in 4 times to say good bye , he lasted 4 weeks, there was a load of birthdays in April so I think he was hanging on for them, anyway passed away 12 April , anyone else struggling with memory loss???

  • Hi there ... boy you've been through so much latly no wonder you don't know if your coming or going ... l think there is a good chance your brain feels cloudy because of the headache your going through ..

But always good to get help and ask for advice ... there's tests they can help you with ... it's always good to know what your dealing with, so you can either give your brain a rest for awhile. . Or know what else it could be ... but talk about your worries to your close family ...

We do forget stuff naturally too ... names for lots of us ... but it's good to know there's help out there whatever it turns out to be ... so don't overpanic  ... but find out ...

So sending you a vertual hug ... Chrissie x
