Lost my mum this morning

My mum collapsed 6 weeks ago with a brain hemmorage then they discovered she had brain tumor all from a mole on her leg.

She didnt recognise me or my older daughters she only had us and a husband she lost contact with her sisters.

She passed away this morning in her sleep i cant believe i will never see her again, she had a horrible last bit of life no dignity she was 62 bless her she loved us so much, i wish life wasnt so cruel.

My girls have been there for me today but im shocked at my partner of 13 years he hasnt even hugged me or said anything, he lost his mum to cancer too i thought he would understand more than anyone, thought partners were meant to be supportive or maybe its bringing back memories of his mum i dont know.

  • Hi there, just wanted to say, I'm so very sorry you lost your mum ... life is crule ... and cancer has no compation, it doesn't discriminate... age , young and old, and all those in between ...

Men are funny creatures sometimes... my ex husband, said to me when my mum died, "everyone has to die sometime" l slept down stairs that night ... my dog layed by my side all through that night , with his head on my lap ... l got more comfort from him then the ex ... think l stopped loving him that day ... but if your husband has lost his mum recently too, it could be that ... so keep an open mind, l hope he comes through for you ...

Try and think of your mum, when she was well, and happy... coz those last memories are such a small part of her life ... l think our mum's would want us to remember the funny, good memories, coz that's who they were ... cancer takes away so much, don't let it take away those early memories ... and she's not gone, she's right there in your heart, and no one can take that away ... you are her ... she made you ...

Sending you a big hug ...   Chrissie
