Hi Paul,
I lost my husband at the beginning of January to Kidney cancer. I can relate to exactly how you are feeling even though your post is over a month old now.
I hide myself away when I am not working, cannot bear to see friends or family at the moment. I have just had enough of everyone saying 'how are you doing'. I know people mean well, but realistically, no-one could understand fully how this grief can make you feel. I actually find solace, peace and calm, not having people around me. I find that I can stay in bed if I want to, don't have to put an act on because I think people expect it. This is the important thing Paul, you need to do exactly what you need to do, nothing more. Its probably all you can do to function, so, miss her, enjoy your memories, don't be hard on yourself, this is a major trauma that you need to navigate in your own time. Of course you are going to miss her, she was your world and at the end of the day, grief is only born out of our love for our partners.
I wish you peace and calm and hope you are finding your way x
