My dad (aged 73) was diagnosed with early stages of bowel cancer in October 2023. He successfully had his tumour removed just before christmas and was given the all clear in February. At a follow up appointment a few days later he was told that one of the lymph nodes they removed showed cancer cells and he would have to start chemo.
Dad started chemo on March 11 2024, and passed away exactly 3weeks later on Monday 1 April following complications. We had his beautiful funeral service yesterday.
Everything has happened so quickly in regards to dads passing that I am really struggling to comprehend what actually happened, how and why.
I miss him so much already and its only been a month. I honestly dont know how I am going to live without him. My heart is actually broken x
