Missing dad

My dad (aged 73) was diagnosed with early stages of bowel cancer in October 2023. He successfully had his tumour removed just before christmas and was given the all clear in February. At a follow up appointment a few days later he was told that one of the lymph nodes they removed showed cancer cells and he would have to start chemo.

Dad started chemo on March 11 2024, and passed away exactly 3weeks later on Monday 1 April following complications. We had his beautiful funeral service yesterday.

Everything has happened so quickly in regards to dads passing that I am really struggling to comprehend what actually happened, how and why.

I miss him so much already and its only been a month. I honestly dont know how I am going to live without him. My heart is actually broken x

Morning. Really sounds like a rollercoaster of emotions all happening in a short space of time and can imagine that you're still feeling really numb from it all. I think with cancer, you get over one hurdle and met with another and it can be really hard.

I hope you have people around you that can support each other and be there for one and other. I'm really sorry for your loss and hope you're feeling a little better today about things.
