My Twin Brother one in a million, can't believe he's gone

I lost my twin brother to Cancer  on the 15th February 2023.  still finding it hard to accept he is gone  he was mis- diagnosed for 4 months  it seems the first lot of Chemo would have wiped out the rare form of Cancer he had  but because of mis- diagnosis he had to endure a second intense chemo therapy. treatment

Now he is gone, I find I am thinking about him every day. I have two sons with Special Needs who both attend a farm as co- farmers  last Thursday we attended the farm as usual .

I was alone in a large field on the farm I looked up into a cloudy grey sky and thought please show me you are Ok Bruv , seconds passed and  the Sun shone blindingly through a minute slit in the clouds  when the bright light had faded there was a small patch of blue sky behind it  I will always believe my twin brother was letting   me  know  he  is, Ok  now  and in no more pain .

  • Welcome to Cancer Chat Ian although I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of your twin brother just a couple of weeks ago. You have my sincerest and most heartfelt condolences for your loss.

That moment you had in the farm sounds so lovely and I'm really glad it was able to give you so much comfort at this very difficult time.

Many of our members have had similar things happen to them after the loss of a loved one, many of which you can read on this discussion that was started in 2019, so our community definitely understand what you're going through at the moment and will hopefully be along soon to offer you their support and advice.

Coping with grief is so very tough but we are here for you Ian and sending all our strength your way.

    Kind regards,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
