Posted yesterday for first time and today my lovely mum died.diagnosed in October.sat here by myself with no clue what to do and just need to say cancer is awful and I'm so angry it has robbed us.
Thank you. My dad had throat cancer in 2020 and we were told he was cured.
He was a very fit and active 70 year old man. In April he developed back pain which we thought was sciatica. The GP, physio all said just wear and tear.
Ths pain didn't go away and in September my dad had a private MRI and we were shell shocked to be told that he had meteststic cancer to the bones. The GP said she expected dad may have 6 to 12 months.
I have no idea how my dad deteriated so quickly but 8 weeks later he passed away. We were on holiday together in July. It is so traumatic to lose a loved one so quickly.

I am so so sorry to hear the loss of your dad. We are just waiting to hear if my mums results of her MRI. I have and am cherishing every minute with her but have a positive head that it is curable an we may get another few years. I cannot imagine what it's like to lose a parent, she is my best friend. I'm so scared right now for her.
