Hi
Sorry to hear about your husband, it's totally understandable that you will feel like that.
I'm about to start chemo Friday for breast cancer and sadly losing my mum in January has made this so much harder.
My partner has been amazing but I'm.also aware how hard it is for him and I've insisted he has to have time out. He goes our 1 night with friends for few beers, plays golf and also has an allotment and I've told him he had to continue for his own sanity.
If you have a bad day don't bottle it up talk, cry scream even.
Sending a virtual hug

You don't say anything about your husband's details (medical) has he had scans, biopsy, and things,. like PSA.
There's a few on forum different stages and treatment my PSA was 1580 I was diagnosed Feb 2016,it is from prostate to the lymph nodes, spine, ribs, pelvis and a lung.. stage 4 doesn't mean that's it.
If you know details please let us know not just for us but any others coming on forum to find out anything.
Please don't think the worst it only makes more upset.
For you both.
Please keep in touch.. I'm on fairly regularly.
Billy
Many thanks, I really appreciate you. His PSA was 12.5. Pet Scan showed that the cancer has gotten to two lymph nodes outside the prostate. They say it' cannot be removed by surgery. So we are going the route of hormone treatments, abiratone. And later radiotherapy. He started Bicalutamide about two weeks ago. He just had the Prostap (one month) injection. He was to start Abiraterone but a blood test showed that his blood sugar was high. So he is now using Metformin 500 mg to bring the blood sugar down before continuing.
Hi I'm on permanent hormone therapy, different types and different doses, last PSA was 0.03 and still dropping...I had chemotherapy at beginning of treatment, and PSA kept dropping for two years to 0.2 then slowly started to rise again for two years beginning of 2020 it was 0.6 then jumped to 86in three months so they changed hormone therapy since then its dropped steadily. I was classed as uncurable at beginning now it palative care not much difference. At beginning I was working (metal fabrication and welding firm) including when having chemo just odd days off with problems. Then had to retire to look after my wife was diagnosed with Altzimers and Parkinson's plus other problems I'm her full time carer.. hope things go smoothly for your husband, remember to look after yourself as well.
Oh I was 64when diagnosed,I kept working for three years after. I'm 70 this month.

Ps [@woodworm] didn't have operation had hormone therapy and radiotherapy, his PSA was around 70 that was years ago, hopefully he'll pop on soon,.
Hi, sorry I have not written anything in a while, I have been busy taking care of my husband and being so sad but prayerful. My husband's treatment is now getting to about one month. He is on the following
1. Bicalutamide
2. Prostap One injection
3. Zytiga(Aberaterone)
4. Prednesolone
He is very weak, has sore throat which makes eating so difficult. He is complaining of pains in his bones. My question is that does the side effects of the hormone treatments reduce with time? I hate seeing him suffer. He will start Prostap 3 injection in a few days.
Hi , I'm afraid I can't comment on your husband's medication with it being different from mine, . I have Decapeptyl injection every three months. . And newest hormone therapy for me is Enzalutamide tablets daily. I'm on various other things like tamsulosin because I was weeing every twenty minutes., And medroxyprogesrerone with clonidine for hot flushes..
Most aches and pains I'm afraid stay with us as long as we're on the medication it should be possible to try him on something else that works the same but kinder to his body, afraid its trial and error. ,Or more meds that will ease simptums sorry I'm not much help with meds, been having side effects with mine.
But no bone pains despite having cancer in some best thing is check with oncologist or his cancer nurse to find out more.
Hope you can get something sorted soon best regards.
Billy
