Dad has bowel cancer metastasis to the liver. It is untreatable. He can have a stent in his bowel when he has worse symptoms. Ive been told when hes sick, constipated and in pain. He has been sick a few times in the last month. Hes never been 'regular' anyway. Hes so stubborn he won't admit if hes in pain. Hes ate most of his tea today and then threw it back up. He then wanted a whisky!
I dont know when its right to call the consultant for a stent. How often hes sick is right for the call?
He doesnt want help from a care team as he associates them with the hospice where 'you never come out!' I don't know what to do for the best.
