My 73yr old dad has spent the last year petrified of catching covid, he done everything by the book in regard to coccooning etc.
After a bleeding adrenal gland we've discovered he has terminal lung cancer with secondary cancer of the adrenal ++. The Dr's haven't offered much hope and my Dad like the hero he is has fully accepted everything.
As a family we're devastated, covid has robbed a whole year of our lives and his grandchildrens lives, we will never get that back. The spark has gone from his eyes, and everyday we lose a little bit more of his life. If we had been able to see more of him this last year we would have noticed the cough and done something about it..
Covid 19 I hate you with a passion..
Update: My beloved Dad was in resporitary distress Thursday and gained his wings early hours of Friday morning, he knew we were all present and knew how much he was loved. He just wasn't strong enough. He never got to meet palliative care team, time just wasn't on our side. Gone way too soon..
Thank you all for your kind words, I will pray for you and your loved ones, God Bless
