Pneumonia

My husband was taken into hospital last night with Pneumonia He has stage 4 prostate cancer that has spread to his bones and other places. I knew last week he wasn't well but no one seemed to listen to me in the end I rang 999 last night and at last he is getting looked after I am so scared that he isn't strong enough to fight this and I can' t be with him ...I feel as though I have let him down by not insisting people listened last week

  • Hello Kathie60,

I am so sorry to hear your husband was taken into hospital last night with pneumonia. One thing is sure you definitely haven't let him down. You rang 999 and that was the most important thing and he is now in very capable hands I am sure and they will do everything they can in hospital to fight this. It must be so hard, especially in the current climate, not to be with him. I hope you are kept regularly updated as to how he is doing.

Let us know if you get a moment how he is. We are keeping everything crossed that he recovers very quickly from this. You must be very worried at the moment and I just wanted you to know we are there for you if you need to chat.

    Best wishes,
