Hi all
I'm sure this is one of the more usual posts on this forum, but i am just looking for some advice.
My 59 year old mum has just been diagnosed with lung cancer, and I am feeling such a mixture of feelings. She was admitted to hospital on Saturday, after feeling really unwell for sometime. The CT scan showed she has cancer in one of her lungs, which has not yet spread (thankfully).
Does anyone have any advice firstly on how to support her through this? Given the COVID situation I haven't managed to see her in person yet. The rest of the results are due in a couple of weeks.
Any secondly, does anyone have any advice (from a selfish perspective) on how to cope myself? I'm desperately trying to remain positive but I just feel so hopeless right now, and also very anxious. Even sleeping and eating are proving really hard right now, and i'm trying not to google symptoms as I know often these are really worst case scenarios.
Thanks all!
