Finding it hard

My husband had got stomach cancer found out 3 weeks ago he is waiting to start radiotherapy next week. He is so unbelievable tired he is getting over covid I am too. I feel awful saying this but does anybody else as a career struggle to cope? I'm pathetic this is only the beginning.  I am doing everything for him which I don't mind but I'm mentally and physically exusted. My family just think I should just get on with everything I have lost weight I'm not sleeping bathing or anything .

    Am so sorry you are really having such a difficult time. Its only natural for it to take a huge toll on you too, especially if you have had covid! Just dont put yourself under too much pressure, it doesnt matter if you dont feel like getting dressed etc, but try to eat, if only a little and often, maybe have a nice bath if you can find time, and just be kind to yourself. It is awful to be suffering with cancer, but also very difficult to care for someone who has it. This is a good place to come and chat and get it all off your chest. Take care x

    Hi Busby.

    We're a bit different to you and yours but know what your going through.

    My darling wife,has Parkinson's and Alzheimer's shes also had quite a few mini strokes she's incontinent,can only move about with support.

    I'm the one with cancer Been on palative care since Feb 2016 so definitely struggling now and again I always have a early morning strip wash unless a lovely neighbor comes round to look after her then I have a shower 

    You should be able to get carer's to help ask dr or specialist about it .

    Good luck with your husband's treatment you have to look after yourself remember or you'll get ill.
