Dad with prostate cancer with distant metastasis

Hi 

My dad has prostate cancer with distant metastasis. He has monthly zoledex injections and has tried hormone patches and radium 233 which hasn't worked. He's been told he's not got weeks but not years. They have now said he can have mitoxantrone chemo. Has anyone had this and it worked for them??

    I'm a prostate patient afraid I've never heard of your dad's chemotherapy treatment,. but thought I'd reply to put you back to the beginning of messages.

    I started on decapeptyl, hormone therapy injections then docetaxel chemo . I'm classed as palative care.

    Hope you're father's treatment works
