Good news!

In February of this year my mum was diagnosed with stage 3B, non-small cell cancer. Although the doctors were positive, it was still an emotional rollercoaster filled with uncertainty and worries. My mum had a PET scan last week. Whilst it still needs to be analysed by a specialist radiographer, her oncologist took a look at it and said that no areas lit up (areas that light up signify cancer)! He said that this is a very good and very encouraging scan.

My mum has had very heavy and aggressive treatment and for the next year is undergoing immunotherapy. Whilst she's not out of the woods yet and no one can predict the future or cancer, this is very encouraging. I hope that the specialist radiographer will confirm that's there no cancer and I pray to God that the cancer won't come back, but even if it God forbid does, hopefully the doctors will able to get rid of it again.

I just thought that it would be nice to share some positive news.
