So sorry for your mum joining the club nobody wants to join.

Oncologist or nurse should recommend a good mouthwash sorry can't remember name. 

Strong foods aren't to bad in taste, alot of people recamend ginger biscuits and pop in small amounts but often.

Keep clear of bio yougart and some cheese (live bacteria) and citrus fruit, apart from that it's trial and error.
