Hi,
I am new to all of this, so sorry if this doesn't make sense. To cut a long story short, my partner was diagnosed with a brain tumour 2 weeks ago which was initially thought to be a primary cancer. He has since had a biopsy of some enlarged lymph nodes in his chest which we have been told is likely to be small cell lung cancer, but won't be confirmed until early next week. He will be starting intensive whole brain radiotherapy for 5 days this coming week for what has now been confirmed as brain mets and also mets o his brain lining..
I just wondered whether anyone else had been in a similar situation. I'm sure I'm not the only one, but everything seems uncertain at the moment and my partner has been told the radiotherapy may kill him anyway due to the position of the brain tumour which is on his cerebellum. I don't really know how I can best support him, as there is so much going on at the moment and it's like a rollercoaster. Any advice would be appreciated please.
Thanks for listening to my waffling.
xx
