Hello Guys. My mum was diagnosed with colon cancer the 13th August last year. Had a resection via keyhole surgery to remove the substantial mass which was a success. Removed 19 lymph nodes and found 2 which were cancerous. Anyhow mum is 70 and lives alone. I live 138 miles away. Mum started chemotherapy capecitabine and oxoplatin via transfusion every 3 weeks. Anyhow I work full time but I make sure I'm with mum for her infusion and stay with her for a week after. Work has been really good and understanding. Mum has family in the same town and they dont seem to get it that I work, I travel down and they dont offer to sit with her or nothing. I feel like I have nobody to talk too. Since 2014 my life has evolved around cancer. 2014 my partners dad was diagnosed with bladder cancer and we spent 3 months in france. 2015 my 3 year old nephew was diagnosed with leukaemia and 10 days after that my sister past away suddenly and now mums diagnosis. Sorry to ramble on but I guess it's good to talk....
