  • Hello Bex31

Welcome to the forum although I'm sorry to hear about Dad's recent diagnosis and surgery.

Did the hospital give you/him any dietary advice before he came home?

I know that quite a few of our members here have suggested in the past that small things such as using full fat milk and adding butter/cream to things can help with increasing calorie intake. If Dad can't face eating a meal then don't worry - little and often of something that he fancies can help with his appetite.
If he has been allocated a specialist nurse then it's certainly worth giving them a call for some advice. It may be that Dad would benefit from something such as Fortisip which I know some members here have also spoken about.

If you'd like to speak to one of our nurses for some support and advice then you can call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

    I hope this helps

    Best wishes,
