Brother with stage 4 transformed Non Hodgkin's DLBCL

Hello, I just wondered if anyone has experience of anyone with Non Hodgkin's DLBCL, my brother, 54, was diagnosed in August, he's on 4th cycle of R-CHOP chemo. The lymphoma has transformed from indolent to aggressive. He is very ill, is having several lots of blood transfusions after each treatment, breathless and exhausted all the time. He literally struggles to stand up. I don't know if this is normal; he is so poorly and we're so worried. It would be lovely to hear from anyone who's supporting someone going through the same or similar. Thank you.

  • Hello [@louiseAD]‍ and welcome to the forum.

I'm sorry to hear that your brother is struggling at the moment. It's natural that you're all feeling so worried about him at the moment. Have you spoken to the team that are looking after him about your concerns?
I don't think we currently have anyone acctive on the forum who has the same diagnosis but if you use the search function (magnifying glass in the blue bar at the top of the page) to search for DLBCL you'll see a number of posts. It may be that if you post a reply on one of those that you'll get a response from someone with shared experiences.

It may be that you're able to connect with others via a more specialist support forum such as the one run by Lymphoma Action

If you'd like to talk to one of our nurses for some support and advice then  you can call them on 0808 800 4040 (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm).

    I hope this helps.
    Best wishes,
