My husband Has nasopharyngeal cancer cleared at the back of nose but in the neck still and wrapped round the carotid artery anyone else had this please xx
Hi there is a thread on here by Eric B under introduce yourself titled new to the site. Neck/Throat cancer he is British but live s in Alicante we met up in April and he did get the all clear but had to have a 10 hour operation which Alicante couldn’t do he travelled to Valencia. He doesn’t come in site now but i email him I know he had to get a 2 nd opinion so maybe if yiur hospital doesn’t help see if u can get a referral to maybe another cancer centre.i can ask Eric a question if it helps

Hi it’s karen ,how are you,you seem to be doing really well,I just can’t believe this is happening to REG ,I’m out of my mind with worry ,any help I would be s9 grateful he has been so ill and no one has picked this up until yesterday when he was meant to go 8nt9 hospital for a full radical neck dissection,we had the consultation in the morning and sent t9 another hospital for ore obs then yep they said the consultant aphad ohoned throuh and said the carotid artery had the tumour wrapped around it,The6 are going to have a meeting Wednesday so pack a bag but it’s unlikeky xxxx

We flew to apartment this morning quick 2 weeks this time too hit for me but jihn likes his sun. I a man doing ok saliva still an issue and the tiredness creeps on me but 20 min nap sorts me out.

Would you mind sharing your experience on Tumor being wrapped around carotid artery. This is what my father has and we are being told it is inoperable. We are very scared and I would be so grateful if someone could give us some advice
my dad is 58 and has gone through stage 3 squamous cell carcinoma in the tongue and lymph node 2 years ago. Unfortunately we found out today that the cancer has returned to a lymph node and is wrapped 270 degrees around the carotid artery. The consultant plans on opening my dad up to see if he can remove it. Has anyone been through anything similar?
Hi I was wondering you your husband was getting on.
My father has been told today that the secondary cancer in his lymph node isn't operable as its wrapped around his cartorid artery. We are so worried. He needs 5 days a week for 6 weeks radiation therapy. He is 81 and I am so worried of the prognosis.
Is there anything i can do to help him through this.
