My partner has grade 4 glioma multiforme . This is the 3rd cycle of chemo and there has been a shrinkage of the tumour . This is good news as the first round of temolozide did not work. When asked if the life expectancy which is 12-18 months would be prolonged due to the shrinkage . We were informed that the expectancy is still statistically the same . Can anyone help as I’m confused as to if the chemo working why the outcome remains the same .
