what to say to someone that asks ‘Where do I go’?after dying.
"I don't know, where do you think you'll go?" works for me.
A bit of a cop out, I know, but as an atheist they might not really want to know what I think happens next.
Thanks for your reply, but I think your right I don’t think your reply would give them much comfort. Which is what I would like for them but I cannot think of the right words to say. So difficult.
Stardust.
We all come from stardust and to stardust we return.
As with everything.
It's a truthful answer, sounds magical, and can absorb any religious idea.
Arrrh taff ...
Love that idea ... I'll go with that ... Chrissie ; ))
Hi Sad xx
Really interested in this question....I gave it some thought.
I have a religious belief and so my reply to this would be like.....heaven related. Lol - But i truly believe there is something after this life xx
However....if I wasn’t religious and someone asked me this question, I considered what I’d do......even if I didn’t believe it, I think I’d convince the person that there is definitely something beautiful after this life...a chance to see departed loved ones again...a world without pain or suffering....peace and happiness. I would try to sound very convincing about that.
Thats just my opinion anyway. The alternative is to say “I don’t know” or “nothing”.....I don’t suppose that’s would bring much comfort xx
I guess we have to consider why the person is asking....maybe out of fear....(and so we should choose our answer carefully!)
Sorry you find yourself here...are you caring for someone with cancer? Xx
