I am really sorry to hear about your father's diagnosis it must indeed have been such a shock for you and I am sure your dad appreciates having the support of his family at such a difficult time in his life.

It's good news that his organs are clear but it does sound like he is in a lot of pain around the scar site. I think the best thing to do is to get in touch with your father's medical team who know his condition the best and how he is responding to the treatment. So don't hesitate to contact them and ask them these questions as they will be most familiar with the treatment, its possible side effects and how your father has been responding to Keytruda. Your dad's medical team will also be in the best position to recommend the best painkillers in his particular situation and as you mention that it hurts like fire, I think it is important perhaps to make an appointment and show his doctor the scar site.
