Help

Hi

ive written before but things have changed. My daughter has Spina Bifida, Hydrocephalus and learning difficulties. Two years ago she had ovarian cancer (germ cell tumour) and had a total hysterectomy. Last month after her feeling unwell they told us she had a recurrence in her pelvis and stomach and that she had weeks to live. They gave her steroids and she bounced right back. Then they told us that prognosis was wrong and they weren’t sure if there was a recurrence she was weaned off steroids and last dose was Friday. Yesterday and today she has been in pain and taking paracetamol and morphine. We have an appointment at oncology tomorrow and I am all over the place - is she dying, when, why the pain and anything else that comes into my head - sorry just needed to rant xx

  • Hi june ... so sorry your having a rough time at the mo ... no wonder your heads all over the place ... maybe you could write down all your questions , so you don't forget stuff while your there ...

I'm glad you feel a tad better after a rant ... l think it does us good and helps clear the head..

I'm really hoping you get a good result tomorrow  .... fingers and toes crossed for your lass ... sending you a big hug ...  Chrissie xx

  • As Chrissie said, we all need to rant sometimes and we all need to write down questions because we are too close to our loved ones to possibly think straight . Good luck, I do hope you come away from that appointment with the answers you want to hear and nearer to a solution.  Hugs to both of you. X
