My dad has recently had a pet scan which has revealed his cancer has spread.

His consultant requested an urgent biopsy which has now been cancelled twice. We are worried beyond distraction and each day/week is ticking by.

We've been told the hospital is at crisis point and as much as I understand this I feel so helpless that I can't do anything.

I wanted to know if going private is a viable option or whether this would now just add to our agonising wait.
