Stomach pains 3 months post treatment

Hi my husband finished 6 cycles of ECF then 5 weeks radical radiotherapy with another 5 weeks of ECF. To treat Oesophageal Cancer. The tumour has gone just leaving scar tissue behind. Since about 8 weeks ago he's had awful stomach pains. Blood tests have come back normal. And had a PET/CT scan done yesterday. Has anyone else had this ?

    I'm really glad to hear your husband's tumour has gone although I'm sorry he's been experiencing stomach pain over the last 8 weeks. I see you mentioned that he had his PET/CT scan done on Saturday. Were you or husband able to mention to his medical team about the stomach pain he has been having? If not do try and contact them or husband's GP to let them know as they may be able to help relieve the pain. Our cancer nurses may be able to give some insight in to this situation as well. If you would like to talk to them about this do give them a call on their freephone number next week. It is 0808 800 4040 and they are available Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

    Come back and let us know the results of the PET/CT scan if you can Susan. We'll have our fingers crossed it's good news and your husband's stomach pain can be eased soon.

    Hi thank you, he had a ct scan done on 14th February ( neck to pelvis) and his Oncologist said when he mentioned about his stomach pains that the ct showed nothing in that area. She took his ct pictures to the MDM because of a spot on his lung which they couldn't determine what it was. So a PET/CT scan was ordered a full body one this time, which he had done last Wednesday. He's having an ultrasound done on his stomach tomorrow ordered by his GP. So yes fingers crossed x
