small cell lung cancer

my mum was diagnosed mid September with extensive small cell lung cancer with numerous mets in bones/bladder/pancreas. She had one session of palliative chemo that made her worse. They said at the tine she would be lucky to see Christmas.   she is being brave and fighting as much as she can.  Wondering if anyone's else Has experience of caring for someone wth small cell lung cancer. Thanks

  • Hi Sasha and welcome to Cancer Chat.

I'm sorry that your mum was diagnosed with extensive small cell lung cancer in September that has spread to her bones, bladder and pancreas and that the palliative chemo wasn't able to help.

I was just looking through the forum and have found two members that may be able to help you at this time. Their names are [@traceyc]‍ and [@tracypino9]‍ and they are in similar situation with their husband and mum so they will definitely know how you are feeling and what you are going through at the moment. Now I've tagged them in this post I'm sure they will pop by soon to offer you their support and share their experiences with you.

Best wishes to you and your mum,
