Hi Tony,

Thanks for sharing your story with us. Having lost several family member to cancer plus having had prostate cancer myself, I personally found it harder being the carer. When I had cancer myself, I felt I had a degree of control over how I felt but when your a carer, you are trying to stay strong for your loved one but inwardly falling apart. The sad reality is medically speaking there is nothing we can do to help ecept to be there for our loved ones. Tony, you need to take care of yourself too for your girlfriend needs all the support she can get but in your situation its not that easy at all. Writing about your fears and feelings on here helps and I hope others will soon respond to your post.

Hi Tony123 sorry to read about girlfriend it's such heart breaking to watch the one you love go though something like this. Only thing I can say you just got to be there for here and here 11year old son I know it's so hard I'm going though it with my mother it's nightmare. Have you tried talking to girlfriend I know it's hard I don't know if they told you how long she got . With my mother we don't know how long she got we just taken each day and spending time with here.have you thought about making list the things you want to do like going away while you still can try and make memories for youself and here boy it's going to be really hard for here boy my heart goes out to him such young age to loss mother.being first total something like this you will go though different emotions.my heart goes out to you all take care.
