Husband has terminal cancer

Hubby was diagnosed just after Christmas.  Its in the lung, bone, brain, adrenalin glands. Very agressive. He had palliative chemo in February, but he was so ill with it that he has decided no more.  We take one day at a time. Some days are good, others hell.  Its good to have people to talk to who know what you are going through.

  • Caley, I do understand what you are going through.  It is a very difficult time for you.  My husband is elderly and has had a full and productive life.  I get the impression yours is younger which is sadder to face

My husband also has terminal cancer (Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma).  He could not handle Chemo, so it is now just a wait and watch situation with Hospice care.  I hope you have family or friends that can help you.

  • Hi donna thanks for your message.  Hubby is 63 and we've been married 42 yrs.  Unfortunately he is now spending most of his time sleeping.  When he is awake he can be quite confused but at other times he seems ok. Time is running out so every day is precious.  Please keep in touch and let me know how your husband is.  Caley x

  • Caley My husband is 84 and we've been married for 54 years.  He started being ill this recent January and has deteriorated badly almost day to day.His symptoms sound VERY much like your husband's.....sleep most of the time, and when awake he's confused.  We are now on Hospice care.

  • Hi PAgrandma, symptoms do seem to be the same.  Hospice nurse comes once a week and district nurse starting to make regular visits.  Not easy, Thinking of you both.  Caley xx
