Losing my dad is heartbreaking

My dad was diagnoised  in April with Lung cancer, it has now spread to the liver and brain, watching him is so heartbreaking, cancer is sucking the life out of him and its so hard to watch, I'm never known anyone with cancer, its such a bloody cruel disease!! I'm finding it so so hard, its like a massive rollercoaster one day he's not so bad, the next he's worse, you never know what's coming up.  Today was so hard, he's hardly eating, and he's so so weak.  Sorry I just needed to put down how I feel, I want  my dad back!!

  • Hi

There really is no need to be sorry to sharing your heartfelt feelings with the forum.  We nearly all need to have somewhere to do this and somehow it's better said though we know we cannot make things different. I lost my Dad to cancer 8 years ago and that was hard and 7 months ago lost my husband after he had a three year battle with incurable cancer.  A cancer diagnosis affects all the family and seeing those we love (friends or family) is the hardest journey most of us ever take. Wishing you and your Dad a peaceful day.Jules
