Chemo and radiotheraphy

Hi I have only found out in the last couple of months that my dad has bowel cancer they have been looking into it and found cancer on the lung they want to start chemo once a week and radiotheraphy every day for five days does anyone know how this affects someone please I have stayed strong until now but not sure I can see him in pain or strugling as an ex army man and always been so strong thank you

    Hi, I've just finished cycle one of chemo. The treatment itself is fine and I didn't have any pain or discomfort just boredom! Post chemo, a wee bit tired but anti sickness tabs work well and getting on with life till the next cycle. Can't comment on radio yet. Hope your dad gets on ok
