My daughter was diagnosed with breast cancer and a 2cm carcinoma three years ago. She refused a mastectomy or medication. . 

as soon as she was told this diagnosis she shut down, refused to accept diagnosis and now three years later her mental health is so bad she refuses to listen or take advice from her family and doctors and is deteriorating.  

she does however take tamoxifen but not every day 

We don’t know if anyone else has experienced a family member or friend who has experienced this lengthy denial timeframe as it has had such an impact on her siblings and parents who have tried to cope with this situation.
