Hi Inkwell, I am very sorry to hear about your diagnosis. That is a very personal decision to make and only you can make it. I have incurable breast cancer with cancer in pelvis, spine, ribs, skull etc. Yes it is not curable but it is treatable. My oncologist said not to use the word terminal. One of the Macmillan forums I am on, a lady has incurable lung cancer and was given a diagnosis of one year and 8 years later she is still here. There are so many treatments, new trials now so hopefully this should give us the best chance possible. I have told all my friends and family and they all have been incredibly supportive. It is a lot for you to process and your wife as cancer effects the whole family. Maybe speak to someone on here or on the Macmillan website for some advice and support. I wish you well and am sure that you will make the decision that is right for you.
Thank you for your response and advice
