I have been caring for my mum for 3yrs now. I have been at every appointment every blood test every cycle of chemo.
We seen oncologist yesterday and her cancer is at bay. No significant change. But her cancer markers in blood have doubled twice. She has cancer in ovaries stomach and liver. Stage 4.
The oncologist was going to leave her for a month to see what happens to tumors if they start growing again as they have before. My mum said she feels as if she is left the cancer will grow. I can see her point but she asked to have chemo. The oncologist agreed to give her chemo. Just one drug every 3wks. My point is why have chemo if at this time you don't necessarily need it. Am I being selfish for thinking like this.
