My mum aged 80 has just been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I live 250 miles away. She lives on her own. What support is available?

I am wondering the same thing as my mum is having a hysterectomy and is 80. She has dad but he is 81 and I am wondering what, if any community support is available too. I too live away.
