My world

My husband has just been diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer it’s gone into most of his bones including his spine, ribs, pelvis he has a mass behind his fibia.   He’s had his first hormone injection to shrink prostate and second one has on Monday …his Gleason score is 4+5 his psa levels were really high.   Stage 4.  I want know if anyone knows how long after hormone treatment would he be starting chemo?

  • Hi Hayley, please don't apologise I understand how our lives change with cancer, but it's nice to hear from you and good to know Dave's well into his chemotherapy, though sorry to hear Dave's chemo is on hold due to his breathing, and good to hear their looking into it, It's understandable to think it's cancer Hayley, but there are other more likely reasons. That's good to see his PSA has tumbled. How are you managing with your new hip, I hope it's going well, best wishes with the X-ray, I hope it brings you both good news, take care.

  • Hi Hayley, good to hear Dave's PSA is tumbling, and fingers crossed he's back on chemo soon and well done to you, you have done well to have almost full use of your new hip, It's tough seeing someone you love so poorly, I am doing ok Hayley, have a MDT meeting on the 23rd when I will start on plan B whatever that may be, say hi to Dave for me, and good luck with his tests.
