What has the hosptial said to you In regards to survival rate or recovery rate?
My dad has had throat cancer for 7 years, chemo and radiation 4 times and his voicebox removed, ive seen him recover from what the doctors said he wouldn't. We was given 2 years and he's been here for 4 years. Your mind set plays major part and your will to live.
WeeAnnie, welcome to the forum though sorry you have to be here. I too have metastatic prostate cancer. I am unable to answer your question as there are a lot of factors you need to know to even make a general prognosis. Though I know some people who are still with us over 5 years after bone mets have been diagnosed. Chemotherapy can take lot out of you, you should ask the nurses at the next chemo session for something to help with side effects, best wishes.
