Hi , I’m writing this as at the moment I’m feeling lost and alone . My husband was diagnosed with bowel cancer in November 2020 which was successful treated with surgery and chemotherapy. Following a scan 6 months later we found out that the cancer had returned and was now in his liver and stomach lining , it was decided that because of the cancer in his stomach liver surgery was not an option . He’s being having chemotherapy and immunotherapy for the past 3 years but after having an MRI last December it showed that the tumors in his liver were still growing and were more pronounced so his Oncologist decided to discontinue the chemo that he’d been having as it was no longer effective. He is now taking tablets and was told that if they work they will do so for 6 months . There are no hospital appointments as such anymore as District Nurses come to the house to take his bloods and his medication gets delivered by courier . I have no one to speak to answer questions that I have as my husband isn’t willing for me to speak to his Cancer Nurse . He’s losing weight , is constantly tired and has told me he’s had enough and feels like he’s deteriorating. I’m struggling as everything I suggest or do to try and help him he brushes aside . He’s been having pains in his back for the past  6 weeks but won’t seek any advice / treatment for it . Can anyone relate to this , I’m really struggling and feel like I’m swimming around in the dark .
