Back in Aug my son had a lump on his leg, gp sent to a and e. Long story short was referred for further tests after mri referred to another hospital for a biopsy then after 6 weeks diagnosed with synovial sarcoma. Since then he has had 4 cycles of chemo on a 21 day cycle. Before cycle 3 a mri showed a pneumothorax and ended up having surgery at another hospital as out local hospital wouldn't do the surgery. After cycle 4 we have been told his heart has been affected by one of the treatments so he is now on tablets for that and they have taken the doxyrubin out of his treatment. We are awaiting an apot with the surgeon regards next steps put back from Dec as he was just out from lung surgery so not until next month. We are vack next week for cycle 5 chemo and I feel I am reaching breaking point spending 3 days with him trying to stay positive when I am emotionally and physically drained from all the stress. Are there any other parents like me?
