My mum (age 80) had uterine cancer about 8 years ago. She had radiation treatment and ultimately, a full hysterectomy. Since then, she has really struggled with severe incontinence, which is affecting her quality of life. It doesn't help that she has had a severe cough for most of her life, which makes the incontinence even worse. She goes to the toilet every 15-20 minutes, goes through dozens of pads a day, wakes up wet two or three times every night and is mentally and physically exhausted - not to mention tired, depressed and anxious. I hate seeing her like this and want to help, but I don't know what to do. Mum has been waiting years to see a specialist/consultant and every time she follows up, she's told to call back again in several months time, so she is getting absolutely nowhere with the medical profession. Has anyone else got any suggestions, or can point me in the direction of a medical professional I could speak with?
