Dendritic cell therapy (DCT)

Hi all,

My mum was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that had unfortunately spread to her liver and bones in January this year.

She was treated with chemotherapy and immunotherapy, but unfortunately we were told last week that this treatment is no longer controlling her disease and there are no other treatment options available on the NHS or private sector for her.

This has been absolutely devastating news, and we are now exploring all possible options available to us.

I wanted to ask the community here if anyone had any experience of being treated at a DCT clinic, and if so what their experience was

Thank you in advance for any responses!

  • Hello Roxysurferchick,

I am very sorry to hear about your mother's diagnosis and that her cancer has spread to her liver and bones. It's really sad that there are no other treatment options available to her at the moment. I can imagine this was truly devastating news and can understand why you are looking into all possible options available.

There is some information about dendritic cells on our website but if you'd like to discuss this in more detail with one of our cancer nurses, you can contact them on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5pm. Other members of our community have posted on the forum before to ask about dendritic cell therapy, for example  on this thread also asked about DCT clinics on this thread and you might be interested in reading our nurse's response to their question.

I hope that you will hear from others who have some experience of DCT and that they will be along shortly to share their story with you.

    Best wishes,
