Lung cancer

My husband 57 is starting his journey again with more treatment, I've been sad now for over a year feel so anxious every minute every day, we do talk but he seems to get so upset when we told more treatment is needed cos it's slowly grown, he can't seem to understand it's not going away we both desperately sad most days can't seem to forget about it for one minute

  • I feel your anguish. My 73 yr old husband is in same position. Diagnosed a year ago with inoperable locally advanced non small cell lung cancer. He had chemo, radio and then immunotheraphy 5 months ago. Unfortunately he developed infections that almost killed him and so treatment was stopped just before xmas last year.

He had a scan in January which showed he had a liver metasis and another scan 2 weeks ago, showing tumour in liver had grown. My husband wants to try treatment again , but his onc says they cant give him anything that could make hubby worse than he already is.

You are right, its not going to go away and all we can do is wait and try to enjoy your time together and take each day as it comes.
